Enjoy a delicious brunch while learning about camellias from two accomplished and entertaining speakers.

Brie Arthur is a bestselling author and respected horticulturist with over two decades of expertise in the field. A longtime contributor to the Emmy-winning PBS series Growing a Greener World, Brie has been instrumental in making horticultural knowledge accessible and engaging for a wide audience. She will return to Savannah for the second time to share her knowledge on one of the South’s most beloved treasures, the Camellia. Following Brie’s presentation, we will enjoy a presentation by Barbara Coley on how to design beautiful Tablescapes with Camellias.  Barbara is a multi-talented designer of home interiors as well as a creator of fabulous floral arrangements using local materials.  She will share ideas for enjoying our bountiful camellias throughout the season.

1:30pm - 2:45pm: The Heritage Collection - Tickets $25 per person

Brie Arthur explores the intricate history of the camellia plant and through captivating visuals, traces the origins of these ornamental beauties, from ancient times to their migration across continents. She will share the allure of caffeine, from camellia sinensis, and delve into the lives of those who nurtured these iconic blooms, preserving their legacy for generations to come. Featuring ancient varieties grown in Charleston’s beloved gardens Middleton Place and Magnolia Plantation and Gardens, Brie is sure to inspire through the tales behind the camellia’s enduring charm and celebrate its place in Southern heritage and horticultural lore. (Ticket includes refreshments)
